former executive of ATMI, a Danbury, CT high tech company.
He has had an interest in carving and woodworking since being
a teenager. His formal education in fine woodworking includes

Artist Statement
While my leanings have been toward early American furniture,
and its making and restoration, Mark Sfirri recently introduced
me to the world of contemporary wood art. I am fascinated
by the range and drama of work being produced today and find
it inspirational in my own work. Currently, I have been taking
features of various historical pieces and incorporating them
into music and plant stands.
